About Cindy

Nurse Practitioner Cindy MacDonald joined Family Medicine in 1999. She loves working with the families in the area and being a part of Family Medicine, a second family to Cindy since she joined the practice.

Cindy’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and close friends, who make her laugh and help her to truly enjoy life.

Cindy loves to do almost anything outdoors including boating, skiing, swimming, rafting, and hiking. She also enjoys working in her yard, including gardening and cutting the grass. Indoors, Cindy likes to read, and make crafty gifts from photos she’s taken. Her favorite movies are comedies; she loves a good joke and lives life full of laughter.

Cindy also enjoys serving others. “I volunteer for AFS  (American Field Service ) and have enjoyed hosting three exchange students from around the world, as well as being an exchange student myself in Sweden. I am always interested in learning, and have spent many years teaching Nursing Students.”

Cindy loves traveling and vacations. She can have a great time along the ocean, or at a ski resort. But to her, there’s no place like home. “I have been a dog owner most of my life and consider my dog now Dakota one of my family.”
