Family Medicine for McHenry County is an independent doctor’s office located in Crystal Lake, Illinois at the corner of Pingree Road and James R. Rakow Road. Michael Lesser, MD established the practice in 1984, and has been proudly serving the community ever since. The practice was voted one of the Best Family Physicians in McHenry County in 2011, 2012, and 2013 through the Northwest Herald “Best of the Fox” reader surveys.
We have taken specific measures to make sure you feel right at home when you visit us, which is how we think “going to the doctor” should be. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by our receptionists Sandy, Anna, Andrea, or Mary, you’ll know you’re not in a typical doctor’s office.
Today, Dr. Lesser is supported by four nurse practitioners: Susan Swanson, Kathie Galias, and Cindy MacDonald, all of whom are board certified.
